Material Used

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

PLA is a plant-based material derived from renewable sources such as corn starch and sugarcane. At Arkelora, we use high-quality PLA selected for consistency, surface finish, and durability — ensuring that each lamp meets our design and performance standards. By producing in-house with 3D printing, we minimize excess inventory and material waste, creating each piece only when it is needed.

Our Approach to Sustainability

For us, sustainability begins with restraint.

We design objects meant to be lived with over time — avoiding excess, overproduction, and unnecessary variation. Production is kept in small batches or made-to-order, allowing closer control over materials and quality.

Packaging is considered with the same care. Where possible, we rely on cardboard and paper-based materials for structure and protection. In certain situations, additional protective layers may be used to ensure products arrive safely — especially during transit.

We do not claim perfection. We believe in thoughtful decisions, made consistently and transparently.
